17) Final Floor Plans
The SunCottage plans were designed by Tim Ouellette of TiMic Drafting & Design. Tim did the design of our main house renovation in 2009 and we think he is exceptional. Easy to talk to and understands where you're coming from. We give him our highest recommendation. Linked In.
Mike Dunne of Dunne & Calder is our general contractor. Another firm of the highest repute. They did the renovation of our farmhouse and built the post & beam
barn on the property. I cannot say enough about what a pleasure it is to work with Mike and the fine team he's assembled, who you'll get to know in the posts ahead. Mike is easy to work with and has an unnatural intuitive sense of what you want to build and how it can be created.

Plenty of sun-facing windows, Nanawall in the hot tub room, louvered sun shades. Note that this plan still shows the original hot tub room roof design, angled and with a cupola.
Also lots of windows, both to let in sun in the winter and to open and provide ventilation in the summer.
Rec room on the left with TV and plenty of couches for lounging. Den/office/playroom on the right. Note the extensive sun-shading louvers on the top (south side) of the plan.
The primary living space: mudroom entrance, bedroom, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and small living room.
Hot tub room, sauna, bottlewall, utility room and workout space.
