1) SunCottage Genesis
The idea started when we were driving back to Vermont from the ferry at Hyannis. We were returning from a one day bike trip on Nantucket sneaking up on our son Graham who was mowing lawns for the summer. He's the kid in the middle:
As we were driving back the conversation turned to the long Vermont winter ahead of us. Granted it was still four months away, but when it lasts for six months, you think about it, even at the beach!
Hunter & Jess Melville:
"You know what I'd like? A glassed in sunny room that we could get as hot as we wanted", said Jess. "how about a hot tub tub!" I added. We'd been trying to figure out what to do with the old cottage across the street that no one had lived in for two years. Jess wanted to tear it down, I couldn't abide the idea of destroying a habitable space. So it seemed like we had the answer, build a really special cottage for friends, family and people we haven't met yet...
